SHIPPING, PICK UP & DELIVERY FAQ

Note: Speciality items such as catering, gift baskets, and some freshly baked items (cinnamon bun) require a minimum of 24-48 hour notice or longer.

Your pick up/delivery time slot will only show the availability once all items are ready. If you'd like to separate the longer lead time items with the 24 hour items, please separate your orders or call us to discuss. 

 


ORDERING

 

Pick up orders - In-stores/curbside
It takes us some time to sort out all the orders, we’ll need a minimum 2 hour for any same day grocery orders. Order deadline is at 1:00 pm for same day pick up, any order after 1:00 pm will be ready for pick-up the following day.

  • Of course, you can order ahead of time and schedule up to 7 days before your pick up date.
  • Order submitted before 1 pm: your order can be ready at 3-6pm for same day pick up.
  • Order submitted after 1pm: your order will be ready the next day

Delivery orders 
Our team does our own local deliveries, all orders take a minimum of 24 hour to organize and get to you. We deliver on Wednesday and Fridays, between 10am - 6pm. 
 
Farmer’s Daughter is closed on Mondays and Sundays, how does this affect my ordering timeline?
Our team works hard and deserves some much needed rest day, we are not open on Mondays/Sundays and it does not count towards an order lead-time. Any order placed between Sunday 1pm - Tuesday 1pm will be ready for pick up on Wednesday.  We're able to co-ordinate pick-up from our stores on Sundays. 
 
Is there a minimum spend?
No minimum spend for in-store pick up orders. However for any local deliveries located 40km or more from our store, we do require a $250 minimum spend. 

Do you take phone orders?
Yes, we do take orders over the phone, however there will be a $5-15 service fee for all phone orders, we encourage you to try our online ordering system which is free to use! 

I ordered items that are the same day and items that require 48 hours lead time, when should I pick up?
Your order will be ready when all items are ready for pick up, if you’d like to pick up grocery items earlier, please make separate orders for items that require a longer read time to ensure your order is picked and packed up accurately.

 


CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Can I edit my order?
If there’s any changes to your order, please call us at (705) 789-5700 with your order number and let us know your changes. (minimum 3 hours for groceries, catering 24 hours) 

What happens if I need to cancel my order?
We understand that plans may change, we have a 20% restocking fee for all grocery orders for our staff to neatly put all items neatly back and adjust the inventory. We do not refund catering, to-go meals or freshly baked items as items are made to order. 

I can’t make it to my pick-up slot, what should I do?
If there’s any changes to your order, please call us at (705) 789-5700 with your order number and let us know when you’re able to pick it up. 
 


LEADTIME FOR SPECALTY ITEMS

Why do the cinnamon buns need 24 hours lead time to order!?
To keep our cinnamon buns tasting fresh in the morning, it’s one of the last things we prepare before we leave, so any orders must be placed before 1pm for next day pickup. 

How much lead time is needed to order a custom cake?
We need 48 hour notice for a custom cake order. At the moment, we only make 10” cakes, and a custom message can be written on the cake for a fee of $6.00. The message is written with brown and/or white chocolate. 
Please put in the “notes” section of what your message on your cake should be. 

* Remember, we’re closed on Mondays, so any order placed between Sunday 1pm- Tuesday 1pm will be ready on Wednesday. 


How long does it take to get a custom gift basket ready?
We wrap each of our gift baskets with tender, love, and care, each custom basket can be customized with a 48 hour notice. 

For multiple corporate gift-baskets, options are available in many shapes and sizes, we’re able to provide customized labels on products, ribbon selection and customized subject or offering. Email us at shop@fresheverything.ca to discuss your needs. 

In a pinch, our pre-set gift baskets, like our groceries, are available with 24 hour notice.  


LOCAL DELIVERIES

Our team does our own local deliveries, all orders take a minimum of 24 hour to organize and get to you. We deliver on Wednesday and Fridays, between 10am - 6pm. For special delivery dates or request, please email shop@fresheverything.ca

The delivery cost is based on the distance from our shop, we encourage you to pick up in-stores. 

  • 5km - $10.00
  • 6-20km - $20.00
  • 20-40km - 40.00 
  • 40-50km - $50.00 (minimum spend of $250 before tax)

What if I can’t be there to receive my delivery?
We know that things can come up unexpectedly. Please give us a quick call as soon as possible at (705) 789-5700 and we will do our best to accommodate. 

 


SHIPPING

Yes we ship non-perishable items through Canada Post. Items we do not ship are gift baskets, fresh produce, meat products, frozen products, and baked items. 


GIFT CARDS & GIFT BASKETS

Can I include a greeting card with my gifts?
Yes, we are able to write a message on a Farmer’s Daughter greeting card for a flat fee of $3.00. 

Do the gift cards/loyalty cards expire?
The balance on the gift card/loyalty card does not expire, you can check your balance here.

 


CATERING 

How early do I need to put in my order?
All our food is made fresh to order with fresh ingredients, we’ll need a minimum of 48 hours to fulfill your order. For larger orders for 20 people or more, please call us to discuss your needs. 

  • All catering requests require a minimum of 10 people and a minimum of 48 hours
  • For parties larger than 20 people, it will require a minimum of 1 week to prepare and organize. 
  • If your catering event is in the next 7 days, we may not be able to accommodate the delivery with service staff option

What about alternative dietary needs?
We have many gluten-free and vegan options within our menu, if there’s something you need and you don’t see it on our menu, feel free to fill in the form below and let us know what you need, and we’ll try our best to help.  

My event is multiple days, how do I specify different dates and meal packages?
We’re happy to help, group and multiple day meal packages can be built, fill out the form and we’ll work together with you to put together suitable options
