How To Treat Them
- Look for brightly coloured peppers with smooth, firm skin. Avoid any peppers with wrinkles or soft spots.
- Choose peppers that feel heavy for their size
- Peppers can be stored in the vegetable crisper drawer of the fridge for up to a week. Do not completely seal them in an airtight bag, as this will trap too much moisture and encourage mold.
How To Cook With Them
Bell peppers are available year-round, but they're at their best in late summer, when we source them from our family farm. Try them in everything. From dips and salads, to soups and stews, to roasted and stuffed.
Did you know that all red, yellow, and orange peppers actually start out green? The color and taste change depending on how long they're allowed to ripen on the vine, which will become progressively more mild and sweet until they are fully ripened.
